Matthew 5:21-22: “You have heard that it was said to the people of old, ‘You must not commit murder’ and ‘Whoever commits murder will be subject to the court.’ But this is what I tell you: every man who is angry with his brother without a cause will be subject to the court. Whoever insults his brother will be subject to the Supreme Court—the Sanhedrin. And whoever curses his brother will be subject to hellfire.”
Matthew 6:22-23: “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are generous, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are stingy, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7: “Love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, love is not arrogant. Love is not rude, love is not self-seeking, love is not easily irritated, and love keeps no record of wrong. Love does not rejoice in injustice, but always rejoices in the truth. Love always protects, love always believes, love always hopes, love always endures.”
