Matthew 5:21-22: “You have heard that it was said to the people of old, ‘You must not commit murder,’ and ‘Whoever commits murder will be subject to the court.’ But this is what I tell you: every man who is angry with his brother without a cause will be subject to the court. Whoever insults his brother will be subject to the Supreme Court--the Sanhedrin. And whoever curses his brother will be subject to hellfire.”
Matthew 6:22-23: “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are generous, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are stingy, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”
Psalms 48:2: “Jerusalem is beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth--from Mount Zion, to the north of it the temple--the city of the great King.”
